READMYCUP
COFFEE CUP READING · ONLINE · ABOUT A MINUTE

Read my cup.From one photo.

Turn your finished cup over, take a single picture of the grounds, and get a reading written for that cup — the shapes that are actually in it, where they landed, and what a reader would make of them. No appointment, no deck of cards, no waiting room.

NO GRANDMOTHER REQUIRED

Coffee-cup reading — tasseography — is normally something someone does for you. You finish a Turkish coffee, you upend the cup, and somebody who knows how leans over it and tells you what they see. Most people never get that. ReadMyCup is that moment, on demand, using the cup already sitting in front of you.

You do the physical half — drink it, swirl it, turn it over, photograph it. The reader does the rest: it looks at your photo, picks out the shapes that are really there, notes where in the cup each one sits, and writes you a few hundred words about it. Roughly a minute from photo to reading.

Because it reads position and not just shape, no two cups come back the same. Grounds near the rim are read as what is close to you; grounds down the sides as what is already in motion; grounds pooled at the bottom as the slower thing underneath it all. That is the part that makes it a reading of your cup rather than a fortune pulled off a shelf.

Every reading comes back as a keepsake card you can save or send — which is how most people here end up using it: on a date, at the end of a dinner, over a video call with someone who makes better coffee than you do.

HOW IT WORKS · I

Drink it, leave the sludge.

Any coffee with grounds in it works — Turkish and Greek are ideal, but an unfiltered mug or the bottom of a French press will do. Stop while there's still a little liquid.

HOW IT WORKS · II

Swirl, upend, wait a minute.

Three swirls, then flip the cup face-down on the saucer and leave it while it cools. That minute is what pushes the grounds up the walls instead of leaving them in a puddle.

HOW IT WORKS · III

Shoot straight down into it.

Lift the cup, hold your phone directly over the opening, daylight if you can manage it. One clear photo of the inside is everything the reader needs — and it's used for your reading and then dropped.

HOW IT WORKS · IV

A minute later, you're reading.

Back comes a handful of named shapes with the zone each one sat in, a reply if you asked a question, a sense of when — and a card you can keep or send on.
